TITLE: WHERE IS GOD’S INTEREST IN A MAN?

KEY TEXT: “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God” (2 Corinthians 7:1 KJV).

The Scripture in the key text is self-explanatory. Can I now say that you understand what the Bible verse is saying to you, beloved of God? The Scripture clearly says: “Having therefore these promises dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and of the spirit.” Is the flesh in the context not standing for the outward part of man, and the spirit representing the inward part of man as well? Then, why are most believers saying that God only looks at the heart? If I may ask, are those things in you and the ones seen in me not a reflection of what we have in the inner man? Beloved, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Galatians 6:7 KJV

WHAT ARE THE PROMISES? It is written in John 14:2-3: “In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” It may interest you to know that for anyone to be eligible to obtain the great and precious promises, his or her outward man must be free from worldly things that mock God’s perfect creating ability through the use of anything false such as make-up, eyelashes, false hair, false nails (fingernails and toenails), false breast, false lips (enlargement or artificial coloured lips) putting on trousers as a woman, etc. Likewise, the inward man must be void of dead men's bones. You may be wondering what dead men's bones are. They are inward sins that are not easily known to the natural eyes such as lies, hatred, malice, uncontrollable anger, pride, gossiping, witchcraft, jealousy, envy, lust, etc. You must understand that no one can enter the Kingdom of God without his or her outward and inner man being purged and cleansed by the blood of Jesus. Sisters, do not allow the long dresses you wear to deceive you. Do all it takes to cleanse yourself inwardly and outwardly. James 2:10 KJV
 
DO NOT DECEIVE YOURSELF: Many believers or professing Christians are selective when it comes to obeying God's Word. The Old Testament becomes outdated and unuseful to many children of God when it comes to obeying God’s instructions. The book of Deuteronomy 22:5 is a done-away Scripture in most churches, but Psalm 91, Psalm 23, Isaiah 54:17, and Job 22:28 (to name a few) are written all over the corners of their rooms to claim blessings during prayers, forgetting they are Scriptures from the Old Testament. Many claim Abraham’s blessing is theirs, but obeying God's Word is not on their agenda. Are you in that category? Repent, and amend your ways before it is too late. Romans 12:1 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, have mercy upon me, in any way I have been allowing myself to be deceived. Deliver me today and give me the grace to put my house in order before it is too late for me, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2 KJV).
