TITLE: APPROACH HIM PRAYERFULLY AND WISELY

KEY TEXT: “Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies” (Proverbs 31:10 KJV).

Every genuine, born-again wife wants her husband and children to be in Christ as she is, but the devil hates to see a family serving God together. He knows that it will be difficult for him to penetrate and cause havoc, so he tries to put them apart spiritually. It is evidently clear that women are more than men in the journey of true holiness to Heaven in today's Church. Most women have embraced the message of pure holiness, which is the ONLY way one can enter the Kingdom of God. It is painful to see that most of these women are in it alone without their husbands joining them, and some are not finding it easy to live a holy life under a husband who opposes what they know is true and right. Many are under tension and pressure in their marriages, and some homes are on the verge of breaking up. Ephesians 5:25 KJV

CHECK YOUR APPROACH AGAIN: Many wives are doing everything possible in their power to bring their husbands out of worldliness and into holiness. Many wives' approach to the situation is making their husbands even more hardened, unknown to them. Some women, in their quest of seeing their husbands saved and join them in the church, try to convert their husbands forcefully, forgetting that men naturally want to be known as the head of the family. Hence, any impolite or forceful approach is bound to fail. Such women should understand that what they are trying to do is spiritual and must be handled carefully and prayerfully. 1 Peter 3:5 KJV

LEARN TO APPROACH YOUR HUSBAND GODLY AND BIBLICALLY: We must understand that no one can help God, but rather, depend on Him in every situation. Some wives try to go ahead of God to forcefully bring their husband to Christ, forgetting the Bible says that wives should honour their husbands. Many wives want to convert the same husband they hardly have time to talk to or cook for, all in the name of prayer or studying the Bible. Many are busy with things of God at the time they ought to serve food and take care of their families. Some are very quick to respond back to their husbands in a way that before a husband says one, they have already said twenty, and when it is time for the husband and children to go to sleep, they start binding and praying aloud saying, “I bind the demon in my husband that is stopping him from serving God!'' Wives must learn how to approach their husbands calmly and respectfully and commit their hearts to God quietly in prayer. Colossians 3:18 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, please grant wives whose husbands are yet to come to the knowledge of the truth the wisdom they need to go about it, so that they will not push their husbands far from God instead of bringing them to God, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives” (1 Peter 3:1 KJV).
