TITLE: MANIPULATIVE HOLINESS IS PROHIBITED 

KEY TEXT: “Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king” (1 Peter 2:17 KJV).

The Word of God commands us to honour everyone. The question is, how many Christians are actually keeping this in the Church of today? Do we really give honour to everyone? Are we not selective in giving honour to the people who are richer or wealthier in the Church? The rich are highly rated while the poor are completely neglected in most churches. This was not the case when Christ was physically on earth. He was always with the poor and did not neglect the rich. Mark 12:31 KJV 

TRUE HOLINESS OR TIME-WASTING: It is written that we must be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect. The only real and true holiness is the holiness of God. Any holiness that is not of God's standard is a lie, fabricated, and time-wasting. A majority of Christians today claim to be holy and righteous, but in reality, they are liars. Their holiness is without genuine love; their holiness is full of envy, jealousy, hatred, backbiting, strife, greed, etc. Hell and Satan are happily waiting for such professing Christians to be damned. Matthew 5:48 KJV 

HOLINESS UNTO DAMNATION: Until one is purged and cleansed from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, he or she is not holy before the eyes of the Lord. Many believers' minds are corrupt, yet they are holy in their own eyes. Men could see you as pure and holy, but how does God see you? All sins must be done away with and the body, soul, and spirit must be purged completely to attain the holiness and righteousness God requires for one to enter His Kingdom. 2 Corinthians 7:1; John 3:3 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, grant me the grace and strength to practice the holiness that is required to enter Heaven and not to please men to my own damnation, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness” (Ephesians 4:24 KJV).
