TITLE: ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH THE TIMES?

Key Text: "And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment" (1 Chronicles 12:32 KJV).

It is so obvious that the majority of today's Christians are not acquainted with the times that we are in, hence, they are living as if things are the same as they have always been. The system is fast changing, pointing to the exit of this world. All that had been written in the Bible, pointing to the end of the system of this world has taken place. It is unfortunate that the believers of today do not study the Bible but are doing anything their "papa in the Lord" says. Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, in His earthly mission of man's redemption, never stopped lamenting over the inability of the children of Israel to discern the times. He lamented that they were able to study the weather and know when it would be planting and harvesting season, but they were unable to discern the written promise of God to redeem mankind through Him. Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV

YOU WILL NOT BE FREE FROM SLAVERY AS LONG AS YOU ARE IGNORANT OF THE  TIMES: It is unfortunate that humans are very slow to know the right thing, but are quick at knowing how to do evil. The same blindness that held people bound until they were destroyed by the flood during Noah's days and the time of Jesus Christ's physical ministry on earth, is still persisting after over two thousand years. Humanity has refused to wake up to the times and run to God. They have decided to remain slaves to sin and Satan unto damnation. It is heartbreaking to know that millions are regretting saying, “Had I known” in hellfire. Luke 12:54-56 KJV

WE ARE IN THE PERILOUS TIMES: It is very painful to see believers living carefree with all the signs of the end time and the closeness of the trumpet sounding the end of all things. Believers are still running after things that profit not. Churches have become more worldly, young pastors are now surrendering to the so-called “big men of God,” instead of surrendering to Jesus Christ, the Owner of the Church. The preaching of the cross and rapture that is supposed to be the priority in every church has become a forbidden gospel in most churches. The wealth, fame, and comfort of this world have now become a priority to most men on the pulpit. The message against sin and how to avoid hellfire and to make it to Heaven is a no-go area in most churches. Men are now lovers of themselves and haters of God. Beloved of God, please open your eyes to the reality of the times before it is too late for you. 1 Corinthians 1:18 KJV


Prayer: O Lord, my God, have mercy on me, in any way I am chasing vanity and have allowed myself to be blinded against the end-time reality. Please, Lord, open my eyes to the reality of the end-time and keep me prepared, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen. 

Reflection: “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is” (Ephesians 5:16-17 KJV).
