Topic: The Damnable Righteousness 
Key Text: Matthew 5:20 KJV - For I say unto you,That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Beloved in Christ Jesus, if you have carefully read, and meditated on today's Key Text; you would understand that not all righteousness, leads to heaven. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, had warned us that, except one's righteousness exceeds that of the Scribes and Pharisees, hell fire would be guaranteed. There are only two permanent places of eternity; Heaven and Hell. It takes the Righteousness, that is from Jesus Christ; to make it to heaven. It's unfortunate that, so many Christians of today, are practicing the righteousness that fit their own selfish interest; and lustful gain. Proverbs 21:21 KJV 

The God's Kind Of Righteousness Demanded: This is the kind of righteousness, that is governed by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, is a Pure and Clean Spirit; Who Has nothing to do with sin. So many Christians of today, are not ready to practice the righteousness; governed by the Holy Spirit; but,  the righteousness that is being controlled, by the leaders of the church in hypocrisy. So many leaders of today, have succeeded in formulating their own kind of righteousness; that can only keep people in the church; but, shut them out of heaven. Matthew 5:48 KJV 

Reconsider Your Kind Of Righteousness Again: Through the Word of God, we understand that, there's a kind of righteousness, called Self- Righteousness. This kind of righteousness leads to hell fire. It is the kind of righteousness,  that makes someone despise (hate), another person. It makes one feel proud, and holier than everyone else. Self- righteousness, is the righteousness, outside the faith in Jesus Christ. Please, accept Jesus Christ today, if you're not yet born again. John 3:3 KJV 

Prayer: Father, please grant me the grace to practice the righteousness of Jesus Christ; which leads to eternal life; in Jesus mighty name; amen.
