TITLE: THE POWER OF ENCOURAGING WORDS 

KEY TEXT: “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works” (Hebrews 10:24 KJV).

So many people who became great in life were at one point at the junction of calling it quits in life. A lot of great people today thought of committing suicide, but they were encouraged by some not to give up and that there was hope for them. There is no height one cannot attain in life when there is a force of encouragement in place. Apostle Peter and the other disciples were able to follow Jesus Christ and establish the Church from their weak backgrounds because of the encouragement they received from Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was always telling Peter that he could do it; hence, He injected boldness to lead in Peter who became persistent. Proverbs 12:25 KJV

 TITLE: THE WORD OF GOD IS THE ULTIMATE

 KEY TEXT: “As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him” (Psalm 18:30 KJV).

 The Word of God is the foundation of the Body of Christ. There is no difference between the Word of God and Jesus Christ. There is nothing a child of God can do without the Word of God. Anointing, fasting, and praying cannot take the place of the Word of God. No general overseer, watchman, or whatever title one bears can take the place of the Word of God in the lives of those in the congregation. The Word of God is powerful, sharper than the sharpest sword, and a strong defense for the people of God in times of trouble. 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV

TITLE: YOUR CHOICE DETERMINES YOUR DESTINATION 

KEY TEXT: "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me" (Matthew 16:24 KJV).

I want to believe that the door of Heaven is open to anyone and everyone. The key text makes us understand that the ticket to Heaven is an open one, and it is written: "If anyone would follow me…" This is where a personal decision comes in. It is one thing to choose to follow Jesus Christ, but it is another thing to deny oneself of the sinful pleasures of this world. Jesus Christ will not force anyone to follow Him or those following Him to change from their old ways. One could choose to follow Jesus Christ as a worker of iniquity, doing the work of God in sin. It is all about choice. Matthew 7:21-23 KJV

TITLE: WHAT IS YOUR AIM IN SERVING GOD?

KEY TEXT: “One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple” (Psalm 27:4 KJV).

David was the greatest king who reigned in Israel, yet he knew that there was a place far better than the throne he occupied. That was why he could say that his utmost desire was to seek the Lord and dwell in His presence forever. But unlike the days of David, once people get settled in a place or position, they never care if tomorrow exists. Even though David was rich, he looked beyond his riches and understood that there was a place every wise and reasonable person should seek after. It is written: “The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.” Can you, the reader of this message, boldly say that you are seeking God? Psalm 14:2 KJV

TITLE: WHEN YOUR OBEDIENCE IS FULFILLED 

KEY TEXT: “The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace” (Exodus 14:14 KJV).

God knew there was no way the Israelites could have escaped the wrath of King Pharaoh when he pursued them to the Red Sea. God was the only Savior they had, but He needed their obedience to save them. He commanded them to hold their peace and be still. This is the same thing God expects from His children who are running up and down, killing themselves over things He could easily do for them if only they would obey His Word, hold their peace, and watch Him fight for them. So many believers are fighting unending battles while some have given up the fight, and some have surrendered to the enemy by seeking help where it does not exist. A lot of believers died fighting, and eventually, found themselves in hell. 2 Chronicles 20:15 KJV

TITLE: YOU ARE IN THE WORLD TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE 

KEY TEXT: “Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience” (Ephesians 5:6 KJV).

Not all professing believers know the anger of God awaiting every unrepentant sinner. It is scary to see the Word of God deliberately being disobeyed by the children of God, even when the Word of God has told us the consequences of sinning or disobeying God. God is not a man that would say one thing and do the opposite. He has told us what He will do to this dying world. He said that the world and all who are in it will melt with fervent heat. But why would you be under such terror when you could escape it? 2 Corinthians 5:11 KJV

TITLE: DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE OF LIVING 

KEY TEXT: “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned” (Mark 16:16 KJV).

Many think being wealthy is the purpose of life fulfillment, and that is why people are doing all they can to earn money, build houses, buy cars, get married, and have children to feel fulfilled in life. What a missed priority! Many are like the rich man in Luke 19, who was wealthy and enjoyed the pleasures of this world, but he died with his purpose unfulfilled. On the other hand, the poor and wretched Lazarus did not enjoy this world, but he fulfilled his purpose. Being rich or poor is not a prerequisite for one’s purpose fulfillment, as one could be either and not know why he or she is in this world. Before our formation in the womb, the Lord made a specific plan for us all (according to His Word), and He expects everyone to fulfil his or her purpose of being created. An individual can only fulfil his or her purpose when he or she is aware of what God has written about him or her. Ephesians 2:10 KJV

TITLE: GOD WILL INTERVENE IN YOUR SITUATION 

KEY TEXT: “Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments” (Exodus 6:6 KJV).

I have seen people in very critical and hopeless situations where everyone and everything gave up on them, but God showed up and intervened in their lives. In many cases, the person or family became an outcast in society, friends deserted them, or relatives drew their line of communication with them because of their condition. Some husbands/wives abandoned their spouses as the situation became critically unbearable. In Job's case, the wife advised him to curse God and die (Job 2:9-10). For Abraham, Sarah gave her maid to him to bear him a child (Genesis 16:1-3). Hannah was mocked and laughed at by Peninnah (1 Samuel 1:6). In the case of the man by the pool of Bethesda, he was abandoned by everyone for thirty-eight years. John 8:7 KJV

A lot of believers are very quick at seeing others as wicked. Many Christians forget that God does not see wickedness the way man sees it. To most children of God, wickedness is when someone is so heartless or when one can hurt others without showing pity. They see kidnappers, bandits, ritualists, and those who cast spells as wicked people. Truly, they are wicked people, but the Word of God does not only point to those categories of people as the wicked ones. Isaiah 55:8-9 KJV
