In Proverbs 11:3, it is written, 'The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.' This verse underscores the importance of integrity as a guiding principle that leads the righteous on the path of virtue and protects them from the consequences of deceit. Proverbs 20:7

TITLE: FINISHING YOUR HEAVENLY GOAL (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: Romans 5:3-4 KJV: “3. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4. And patience, experience; and experience, hope.”

FINISH THROUGH ENDURANCE: Endure and persevere through whatever challenges you are facing now, knowing that the Holy Spirit will surely help you. Endure the mocking and insults that may be thrown at you. Do not let yourself be drawn out of character, and refrain from uttering words that a believer should not say. Instead, maintain spiritual poise and dignity to honor the name of God. Remember, God is constantly watching over all your actions and conduct. Beloved, do not allow any person, circumstance, or situation to compromise your spiritual character. 1 Peter 5:8

TITLE: FINISHING YOUR HEAVENLY GOAL (PART 1)

KEY TEXT: Philippians 3:14 KJV: “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

INTRO TO OUR GOAL OF HEAVEN: As a person, you can have a goal in mind that you want to achieve. However, the ultimate priority that God has given to all humanity is the goal of making it to Heaven. This goal is inherent in every person born of a woman, yet many have unsuccessfully attempted to achieve it. In order to reach our goal of Heaven, the first thing to bear in mind is that we must keep our eyes and attention fixed on it. Anything that diverts even 1% of our focus will detract 100% from our goal. Philippians 3:12-14

PAUL’S EXAMPLE: Paul had a vision and a goal ahead of him, and in the key text, he made us understand he kept his eyes on that goal. Paul says, “I press towards the mark…”. Whenever challenges arise, we must learn to press on. The analogy of a race illustrates that we are constantly striving toward our goal. When a runner begins the race, they do not carry unnecessary baggage or clothing, as the excess weight would slow them down. They do not constantly look behind them, for doing so would prevent them from seeing the dangers ahead.  1 John 2:17

KEY TEXT: Ephesians 5:27 KJV: That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Many people are deceiving themselves by expecting to live with the same God that they have refused to live for now. They are willfully living in sin and refusing to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior, yet expecting that same Jesus to welcome them into His Kingdom after wasting their lives living for satan. It is impossible for anyone who refuses to live for Christ on earth to enter Heaven; anyone that wilfully lives in sin will also be ready to willingly spend eternity in hellfire. Matthew 10:33-35

TITLE: NO ACCEPTABLE DEFENSE BEFORE GOD IN ETERNITY

KEY TEXT: Matthew 7:22-23 KJV: “Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

From our key text, the Scripture tells us how some believers will stand to defend themselves on the day of judgment by their works. Many will stand to tell the Lord how they sang, preached, evangelized, gave alms to the poor, went to church daily, did all the church work, performed many signs and wonders, etc. But the Lord Jesus will tell them that He never knew them, because they were workers of iniquity. Who then are the workers of iniquity? They are those who go to church, and do whatever they are doing for the Lord, but forget to work out their own salvation in the fear of God and in obedience to His word. Matthew 7:21-23

TITLE: HUNGER AND THIRST

KEY TEXT: Matthew 5:6 KJV: “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled."

We are in a world full of hunger and thirst. Almost everyone is looking for what to eat and drink to satisfy themselves, and a lot of people have gone as far as killing their fellow human beings to satisfy their hunger and thirst for their needs. All you see in most churches nowadays are believers who are hungry and desperately looking for a miracle to satisfy their hunger. Believers of today are ready to do anything to take their burden of hunger and thirst away, not minding how the miracle comes nor the consequences of getting anything from the devil. John 4:14

But the question is: What is the hunger all about? Our Lord Jesus Christ told us the only reasonable hunger that heaven recognises is the hunger and thirst after righteousness. Anyone who hungers and thirsts after such is blessed already while waiting for his or her needs to be satisfied. It's unfortunate that not so many care if their souls are dying of spiritual hunger, as long as their perishable hunger is satisfied. Deuteronomy 8:3

TITLE: ETERNITY IS CLOSER THAN YOU THINK

KEY TEXT: James 4:14 KJV: “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”

Child of God, if you have once visited the cemetery, morgue or witnessed someone taking his or her last breath, you would come to the terms that life is indeed meaningless. Knowing someone who was full of life and energy lying in a casket like dry wood, or looking worse than a molded image after death should make one realise that man's life is a vapour. People live, die and are buried six feet and forgotten like a passing wind. Man's life is indeed like a candle in the wind. Sadly, the same carnal man is living and enjoying the pleasures of sin as one who owns his life. Many have forgotten that the same Giver of life (GOD) will someday take the life away from them without asking permission from them. Ecclesiastes 12:7

KEY TEXT: Romans 2:21-23 KJV: “21Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? 22Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? 23Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?”

Many Christians preach, counsel and pray to see others change when they themselves have not changed. How can society experience a change when the Christians who are to bring about changes have become rebellious to God's Word? Effective change starts from an individual who wishes to bring about changes before spreading to other people. Many Christian spouses pray for their husbands or wives to repent, but they themselves have not repented from their nagging, malice and insulting attitudes. Have you allowed God to work on you and change your life completely since He called you from amongst many, that through you He could reach the others? Don't you still get angry when the Word of God comes to reprove and correct you? Ezekiel 22:30 KJV

TITLE: DEEPER HOLINESS IS DEMANDED (PART 5)

KEY TEXT: Romans 6:11 KJV: “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

What is described in Romans 6:11 is deeper holiness. We were dead yesterday; we should pull away whatever that will make us die again. If you die in sin, you will die again; if you die in Jesus, you will die no more. Judas Iscariot for 30 pieces of silver, bought his way into hell. What is buying your into hell? Is it marriage, homes, clothes, possessions, etc? You are making a very big mistake; drop them. Lay aside whatever you think you are, no matter how holy or pure you think you are. Matthew 26:15

KEY TEXT: Psalm 18:35 KJV: “Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.”

If the level I am at is the highest I can ever attain, I give God all the glory. The only thing I have got all my life is salvation. Nothing else. He picked me out of nothing. What will I pay Him back with? Is it to go to hell? The only place I can open my mouth wide and give my testimony is in Heaven with saints, like Apostle Peter, Paul, and the rest. Whatever testimony I give you now is nothing. Psalms 111:1
