TITLE: GOD'S HOLY WAY OR NO WAY (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: 1 John 3:6 KJV: “Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.”

THE WAY OF LIFE OR DEATH: The Bible is clear that there are only two ways: the way of life and the way of death. “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV). God’s way brings life, but the ways of sin and the world lead to death. We must make a deliberate choice to follow Him. 1 PETER 1:14-16

WALKING IN HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS:
Finally, God’s way requires that we walk in His righteousness, forsaking our former ways. As Paul wrote, “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness” (Ephesians 4:22-24). This transformation is the work of the Holy Spirit, but it requires our cooperation to walk in His holy way. 1 THESSALONIANS 5:23

There is only one way that leads to life—the holy way of God. All other paths lead to destruction. Let us commit to walking in His way, trusting in His wisdom, and striving for holiness, for His way is the only way. We are admonished to daily work out our salvation with fear and trembling. The grace to live a holy life has been given to everyone. Living in sin is a matter of choice. PHILIPPIANS 2:12

PRAYER: I, henceforth, make up my mind to daily work out my salvation with fear and trembling, being empowered by God's Holy Spirit, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: Isaiah 35:8 KJV: “And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.”
