TITLE: YOUR SANCTIFICATION IS GOD’S WILL( PART 2) 

KEY TEXT: 2 Timothy 2:21 KJV: "If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work."

SANCTIFICATION FOR ALL: It is the will of God for each and every one of us, especially you in particular. Some people might think that sanctification is just for a particular church, believing that different churches need different aspects of it. However, Christ shed His blood for us on the cross of Calvary so that everyone, both great and small, can taste and experience the beauty of Christ’s sanctification. It is an experience that no substance or entity in this world can offer. JAMES 1:17 

VESSELS OF SANCTIFICATION: Christ wants us to be vessels for Him, but not just any vessels; He wants us to be honorable, sanctified vessels. You only become a vessel of honor when you are sanctified. Unsanctified hearts, people, and lives are vessels of dishonor. They dishonor the gospel, the doctrine of the Bible, and the very beauty of the Christian life. But when you are sanctified, purified, and made holy, you become a vessel of honor. 2 TIMOTHY 2:21

POUR TO OTHERS: We have a vessel so we can put some water in it and then offer it to others to drink. That is the reason for having a clean, refined, pure, and righteous vessel. Are we taking the water of life, the message of salvation, to others who are thirsty? Being holy is not the end; the reason we are holy is so we can offer the water of life to others. The purpose of being sanctified is to be a vessel of honor, worthy of every good work. MARK 16:15

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, help me to use the living water You have given me to pour into the lives of others, sharing Your gospel of Good News as you sanctify me in Jesus Christ’s mighty name, Amen. 

REFLECTION: 1 Thessalonians 4:3 KJV: “For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication.”
