*TITLE: DON’T DROP YOUR CROSS (PART 3)*

*KEY TEXT: 1 Peter 5:10 KJV: “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”*

*Jesus Christ admonishes us to seek His Kingdom first. But many people today have backed out from the heavenly race because they have not received the material things of life. God is waiting to settle you, but He cannot settle you in iniquity and when you rebel against Him. If you allow the situation you are going through in life to become god and give it utmost priority, you are not worthy of Jesus Christ. You cannot be Christ's disciple if you do not bear your cross. Luke 14:27*

*In the parable of the Sower, the problem was not with the Sower or the seed, but the ground upon which the seed fell on. Three out of the four seeds sown could not withstand the test of time. How are you yielding to the Word of God? How are you standing firm in the Word of God? Is the Word of God prevailing over your situation or are you allowing the situation to prevail over the Word of God in your life? Acts 19:20*

*Allow the word of God to prevail in every situation you are going through. It is compulsory to carry the cross as a believer. Even in the face of death, Daniel, Stephen, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego did not compromise. Are you obeying God in your situation or the counsel of mere mortals like you who will take you to everlasting destruction? The Apostles of old rejoiced that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for Jesus Christ’s name. 2 Corinthians 11:23*

*PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, give me grace to confess and stand firm in Your word in every situation I face, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.*

*REFLECTION: 2 Timothy 2:3 KJV: “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”*
