TITLE: FREEDOM FROM SELF ENEMY

KEY TEXT: 1 John 3:8 KJV: “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”


Have you been going everywhere looking for men of God or whatever it is to fight the enemy of your destiny for you? Wait a moment. Have you checked yourself to see if you are not the enemy that you are seeking to destroy? God is so merciful that instead of killing you (the actual enemy), He allowed you to go on in your pain until you come to the realization and free yourself from your self-inflicted bondage. Some Christians love to sleep and see miracles happen in their dreams. Satan knows that they want miracles that they did not work or pray for, so he manipulates their dreams, showing them so-called great and wonderful things about their lives. They wakeup and start going from church to church, telling pastors to pray for their dreams of laziness to come through. Proverbs 6:9-11 KJV


THE NIGHT IS COMING: Even Jesus Christ while on earth physically, worked tirelessly and prayed fervently. But the Christians of today are so lazy and want God to manifest in their lives. Jesus Christ said, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” But most Christians want to reap where they did not sow; they want God to bless them without doing anything for Him. They cannot pray, fast, or study the Bible. Some Christians have never told anyone about Christ. Most Christians are living in chronic sin, yet they expect God to bless them. John 9:4, Matthew 7:6 KJV


SET YOUR DESTINY FREE: Your destiny will never agree with you until you learn to agree with God and do His will. If God is for you, no one can be against you. But even the clothes you wear will be against you when God is against you. Now, stop fighting external enemies and check where you need to make your ways right with God. Let God be pleased with you, and you will see your destiny shine brighter, even in the faces of those you call your enemies. Isaiah 1:18-20 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, please open my eyes to see where I need to make my ways right with you. Take away the spirit of laziness from me and help me to do the work I need to do while it is day, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing” (Proverbs 20:4 KJV).
