TITLE: MOUNTING UP WITH WINGS AS EAGLES (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: Deuteronomy 32:13 KJV: “He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock.”

As Christians, situations around us, even in the economy, should not affect us, because God is the Creator of Heaven and earth. God made Jacob to live above situations and made him eat honey from the rock. You know how it can be a process to extract honey, but He made him eat honey from a place he never laboured for. This can happen to you if you trust in God, because God never changes. Psalm 24:1 KJV

You are an eagle of the Lord, and you are not supposed to be found among the vultures that eat carcasses on the street. The eagle sees far and knows when an enemy is approaching. Unlike the eagle we are to be, we are usually blind and expose ourselves to the enemy. As the eagle spreads its wings to cover its young ones, so are we to be defenders of the Body of Christ and not destroyers of the Church. Job 39:27-30 KJV

For us to succeed in this race and have a peaceful existence with God, we need to hide ourselves under the shadow of the Almighty and not the wings of false prophets and pastors. They will add more burdens to the ones you already have. The race we are running in is not for those who are not heavenly minded, but for those who know who they are in God's sight. The race to Heaven is not for a Christian attending 3 services in different churches because they are looking for miracles and immediate solutions. Psalm 91:1-4 KJV

PRAYER: Almighty Father, please help me to always look unto You so that situations around me will not overpower me, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord” (Psalm 4:5 KJV).
