TITLE: THE NON-CONTROVERSIAL POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (PART 8)

KEY TEXT: Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”

The number one sign of having the Holy Spirit is the fear of God. Anyone with the spirit of God is always careful not to sin against God. People may not understand why he or she fears a lot in everything (not talking about the fear of man but the fear of God). The kind of fear that you do not want to offend God or have the Holy Spirit leave you. Anyone who has this fear is the strongest man or woman on earth, even though the carnal people may think he or she is weak or foolish. MATTHEW 10:28 KJV

Anyone with the Holy Spirit is always quick to apologize when he or she offends anyone. Such could even say sorry to anyone who offended them just to let peace reign and make God happy. Your offenders may think you are weak for apologizing to them, but when the time comes, they will know if you were apologizing out of weakness or in strength. The Holy Spirit is our strengthener. No matter what a true child of God is going through, he or she can never be discouraged. 2 CORINTHIANS 4:9 KJV

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth; He can never lie. He does not play around because He has nothing to fear. It would be a shame for the Creator to be afraid of His creation. When the Holy Spirit is in you, you become the creator-personified and fearless. Proverbs 14:27 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, please strengthen me in your fear and help me to fear you more, as I progress in my walk with the Holy Spirit, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” (ACTS 2:38 KJV).
