TITLE: THE NON-CONTROVERSIAL POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (PART 6)

KEY TEXT: 1 John 2:27 KJV: "But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him."

The Holy Spirit is the only one who teaches about the mind of God. No one can know or understand the mind of God without having the mind of Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:16). Do you want to know the mind of God, things you do not know, and maybe even the future? Get connected to the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit is in you, He reveals to you what you must know. John 14:26 KJV

You could see when you read and see the deep things in the Bible, you marvel at how the writers of these books knew things that were not done in their presence. It is because the Holy Spirit revealed deep things to them. For example, when Jesus went to the wilderness to fast and pray, the disciples were not there, but they knew that information because the Holy Spirit revealed it to them. Moses was not there during the creation, but the Holy Spirit taught him how the world and everything else was created. 1 Corinthians 2:14-16 KJV

When you have the Holy Spirit, you are bound to know the deep and secret things of the spirit, especially when you value Him by following Him in fear and trembling. In John 6:66, many of the disciples stopped following Christ because they were not ready to obey the word of the Spirit and life. All that mattered to them was to have the anointing to perform miracles, but they were not desirous of the Holy Spirit to understand the things of the spirit. This is one major challenge in the Church today; we have miracle-working men on pulpits that have no business with the Holy Spirit. Luke 10:17 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, please open my eyes and ears, so that I can see what the Holy Spirit is showing me and hear what He is telling me and not go astray, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment” (John 16:7-8 KJV).
