TITLE: NEW LIFE WITH NEW RESPONSIBILITIES (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: 1 Peter 1:3 KJV: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

Jesus paid for the new life we have in Him; therefore, we must not stay dormant but let the light of God in us shine forth. Jesus carried all the things that our forefathers did, dumped them in hell, and bore our sins, so that we could live unto righteousness. Let us not waste it, but be bearers of His light, so that sinners could be renewed through the light of God in us. 1 Peter 2:24 KJV

Brethren, we must not be selfish with the new life we have received, as it is written that out of our bellies shall flow rivers of living water. Let us allow the living water to spring forth and flow to the edification of the Body of Christ. It is an obligation and a chain reaction that should spread. As it has been given to us, we must give it out; as Christ has healed us, the power to heal has been given to us, so we must go and heal. John 7:38 KJV

It is time to bless the Lord. As our Lord has blessed us, He is now waiting on us to also bless Him. We should not give our souls rest but allow ourselves to work in holiness, praising the Lord at all times, and doing His will faithfully, just as David knew what the Lord had done for him and worshiped Him earnestly. Let us also freely tell the people what Jesus Christ has done for us and live our lives doing His divine will. Psalm 103:2-3 KJV

PRAYER: Thank you, Jesus Christ, for giving me a new life. Please help me work faithfully till the end, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20 KJV).
