TITLE: CAN YOUR LOVE BE TRUSTED?

KEY TEXT: "Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders" (Jeremiah 9:4 KJV).

The greatest thing one could hope to have and enjoy in this world of uncertainty besides being saved by grace through faith in Christ alone is having a good relationship. Knowing that you have a brother, sister, friend, etc., who is trustworthy and reliable is an advantage to having a joyful and progressive life. The most difficult commodity is not a house, car, or good education, but a trusted companion, which is mostly lacking in the world today. It is not easy to have a friend or loved one without a dangerous, ulterior motive. Even the Bible warned that everyone should be on guard against his neighbour, because it is difficult for an outsider to hurt you without help from an insider. Job 19:14 KJV

IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP SAFE? Many relationships have a price tag on them. What is the price tag you placed on that person you claim to love? Can a brother or sister really trust you, relax, and sleep with his or her two eyes closed with you around? Is his or her progress in life not making you think otherwise? Are you not only a friend because of what you are gaining from that person you pretend to love? What happens if he or she can no longer give you what he or she used to give you? Are you not looking for the best opportunity to bring him or her down? Are you sure you are not a spy, spying on that person and their family, waiting for an appointed time to carry out your evil agenda? I tell you, that evil plan against the innocent will bring your quick destruction if you do not repent, so also to anyone planning evil against you. Psalm 41:9 KJV

BE A COMPANION INDEED: It costs more to be evil than good, just as it costs more to be a false pastor than a real one. It will cost you less energy to be real to your professed loved ones than to stress yourself out by living a fake life, pretending to be nice, giving false smiles, and saying sweet words in pretence, which is a self-inflicted punishment. Make up your mind to truly love that person who relies on your love. Stop biting and still showing him or her your love. Stop the plan to break that marriage. Repent of the evil agenda you have in that church, and walk away from that evil contract to destroy your professed brother or sister. Remember, God is watching every step you take, and all your evil thoughts against that brother or sister are loud in the ears of God. Hell awaits you if you do not repent of your crafty and evil lifestyle. Proverbs 27:6 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, please examine me to see if there are evil thoughts or wicked imaginations in my heart against anyone. Please have mercy on me and purge me. Give me a heart that can truly love and not betray those who trust my love for them, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: "Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom" (Micah 7:5 KJV).
