TITLE: MANIFESTING GOD’S DIVINE NATURE

KEY TEXT: “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid” (Matthew 5:14 KJV).

Almost everyone professing to be born again wants to be seen as Christ’s representative (meaning, to be seen as carrying the nature of Christ). But is the nature of Christ so cheap to be carried by everyone, regardless of one’s lifestyle and character? No, no, no. Salvation may be free, but to manifest Christ is not. One must pay the price of obedience to carry the glory of Christ, even though the manifestation of God's divine nature is supposed to be the true identity of every believer. A believer of Christ is supposed to be the true image and likeness of God. So, you are expected to manifest the divine nature of Jesus Christ as a genuine, born-again child of God. Matthew 5:13-14 KJV

SIN IS A HINDRANCE TO MANIFESTING GOD’S DIVINE NATURE: In John 8:12, Jesus Christ told us that He is the light of the world, and anyone who follows Him shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. It means that anyone who follows Jesus Christ should reflect Him. But you and I know that Jesus Christ is pure and holy, and there is no sin in Him. Now, how then would anyone expect Christ to allow him or her to reflect Him in sin and iniquity? That is impossible, except such a person wants to end up as a worker of iniquity (Matthew 7:22-23). Sin is the manifestation of darkness, so it is totally impossible to walk in darkness and manifest light at the same time. John 1:5 KJV
    
YOU COULD STILL MANIFEST CHRIST: Beloved in Christ, you have every opportunity to manifest your glorious nature in Christ, as long as you still have breath in you. Jesus Christ told us in John 12:46, “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.” All you need to do is to believe in the Word of God, do what it says by running away from sin, and do all you can to live in complete obedience to the Word of God. 1 Peter 1:15-17 KJV 

PRAYER: My Father, my God, I am very sorry, in any way I have yielded myself to sin. Have mercy on me and let the light in you start manifesting through me from now on for your holy name to be glorified in and through me, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me” (Matthew 16:24 KJV).
