TITLE: NEGLECTING THE MOST VALUABLE 

KEY TEXT: “And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth” (Luke 12:15 KJV).

The world we are living in today has been so polluted to the point that people no longer know what is right anymore. Some know but will deliberately want to go for the wrong thing. Anything evil or wrong trend on social media are what people celebrate and feel comfortable with, but the good or godly things are sidelined. When you tell some people they are in danger of losing their jobs, houses, cars, businesses, etc. They run helter-skelter to protect their possessions from being ruined or taken. But it is amazing to see people so careless about the most valuable part of them. They feel reluctant, even when they hear that their souls are in danger of eternal damnation. This is the peak of foolishness! Matthew 6:19-21 KJV 

RECEIVE COUNSEL AND BE WISE: It was amazing to see Christians running helter-skelter when they were told they could not buy, sell, or  travel if they refused the Covid-19 vaccine, and a majority of them took it. The same people will refuse to repent, even when they know that their souls are on the express way to eternal damnation in hellfire. Countless number of souls are burning in hellfire, regretting and blaming themselves, saying, “If they had known, they would have made use of the free gift of salvation given to them by Jesus Christ and the counsel they received from genuine men of God.” A person's life consists not in the abundance of things he or she possesses, but many people want to have the world in their possession, forgetting their eternal home, hence, keeping their souls for satan in hellfire. 1 Timothy 6:17 KJV 

HELLFIRE IS OPEN FOR ANYONE WHO CHOOSES TO ENTER: Many people, even some so-called believers, take the issue of eternity as a child's play. They forget the only alternative to Heaven is hellfire, and Heaven is not ready to accommodate anyone with sin. Are you living your daily life running after material things? You will run into hellfire with your filthy desires if you do not retrace your steps back to God in holiness and true righteousness. Now that you have the opportunity, repent. James 5:1 KJV 

PRAYER: My Lord and my God, I repent of my foolishness of pursuing shadows. I receive the grace to be content with what I have and to live soberly and righteously in this world of iniquity to the praise of God, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows” (1 Timothy 6:10 KJV).
