TITLE: HAS TODAY’S CHURCH GONE HER OWN WAY?

KEY TEXT: “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood” (Acts 20:28 KJV).

The Church of Christ was not brought into existence by the spoken Word of God as it was during the creation of heaven and earth and all that are therein. The Church of Jesus Christ was purchased by Christ through the suffering and shedding of His blood, and it is the most valuable thing that Jesus Christ left on the earth after His resurrection and ascension. His eyes are open to His children, seeing how the people He died to save are turning His Church to their own business ventures. Christ bleeds in pain whenever He remembers how the Church, He left behind on earth was connected to Him in fear and trembling. The Holy Spirit was fully in control and man was totally subject to Him. Read the account of Ananias and Sapphira and how the Holy Spirit dealt with them as they connived together to lie to the Church (Acts 5:1-5). Peter was not with them when they sold their land and kept back part of the money and brought the rest to the Church. Peter, immediately knowing what they had done as Ananias brought the money, confronted him with questions, which made him fall and died for lying to the Holy Spirit. Acts 5:1-11 KJV 

WHERE IS THE HOLY SPIRIT IN TODAY’S CHURCHES? Can what happened to Ananias and Sapphira happen in today’s Church? Are there still men of God like Peter that will allow the Holy Spirit to reveal things through them? Will the men of God of today allow the pleasure of this world to pass for them to hear from God? Won’t they be carried away with what Ananias and Sapphira brought and forget what the Spirit of the Lord God is saying? I keep wondering what has happened to the church of today. The account of Ananias and Sapphira is not in the Old Testament. It was in the same dispensation of the Holy Spirit like ours, so we have no excuse to give. Has the Holy Spirit departed from the church that prostitutes, armed robbers, drug dealers, ritualists, evil politicians, bloody businessmen and women could pay tithes, donate money, and even build churches these days with their ill-gotten money without fear, and the men of God would not even know about it, but put them in high positions in the church? Romans 3:18; 16:18 KJV 

MOST CHURCHES HAVE LOST BEARING: The Holy Spirit remains the same ; He can never dwell in an environment of sin and iniquity. About 98% of churches today are without the Holy Spirit of God. They are controlled by demonic spirits and can do whatever they like without the fear of God. Most churches in this generation are polluted, dirty, and sick. The men of God could collect anything from anyone without praying or asking questions to know the source, because they are working for the man of sin (the devil). I only pity the sheep that the churches of today are tearing. The sheep cannot escape the damnable end of their shepherds, unless through divine intervention of God. God is asking you to look inwardly into the church you attend and make the necessary corrections, either to run from there or pray fervently for your soul. 1 Peter 4:17 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, separate me from the church of Babylon and open my eyes to know where the true Spirit of God dwells for me not to face condemnation at last with the sons of Satan on the pulpits, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption” (Ephesians 4:30 KJV).
