TITLE: IN A DANGEROUS TIME LIKE THIS

KEY TEXT: “Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee” (Proverbs 4:25 KJV).

If there is any time in the history of mankind that believers or the Church of Christ need to be extremely focused on the God who saved them from the world of darkness and brought them into His marvellous light (1 Peter 2:9), this should be the time. The time that insensitivity to the Word of God and the Holy Spirit are most dangerous. We are living in a time that maximum stability of one's faith in Jesus Christ is utmost demanded. A time where believers are falling back to where they were once delivered from unknowingly. Carelessness is prevailing, and the people of God are far too asleep to know what is happening. 1 Corinthians 15:34 KJV

DO NOT GIVE IN TO IT: As dangerous as this time is, not many believers are careful and watchful. Most Christians are living a carefree life, not minding the glaring signs of the end time. So many believers are busy chasing shadows. Satan and his agents have devised several means to call the attention of the children of God out of the holy way to Heaven, bringing them to the broadway. One could hardly differentiate the Church from a clubhouse, and lots of things are calling for the attention of believers to drag them into eternal damnation. Sin is everywhere and almost everything on earth has sin attached to it. People now eat, drink, and put on sin unknowingly. Only those with a discerning spirit will survive the times that we are in. Would you allow yourself to be called out of the narrow way if you were actually in it in the first place? Matthew 7:21-23 KJV

WORK FOR YOUR DESIRE: We are in a generation where people are so worried about making it in the rapture, but are not concerned about the things that could hinder them. No wonder Jesus Christ admonished His followers to strive to enter in through the narrow gate because many will seek to enter in but will not be able (Luke 13:24). Many want to enter Heaven with loads of sin unconfessed and unforsaken. Many pastors tell their members that nothing matters now until after the rapture. It is marvelling to see people who gave themselves to pollution, talking about the rapture. Anyone hoping to make it to Heaven must be purged. The body, soul, and spirit must be blameless for one to enter the Kingdom of God.  2 Corinthians 7:1 KJV

PRAYER: My Father and my God, have mercy on me, in any way I have been careless about my journey to Heaven. I repent now, as you grant me the grace to be careful, watchful, and prayerful, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14 KJV).
