TITLE: CHRIST’S MINDSET IS DEMANDED

KEY TEXT: “And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise” (Luke 6:31 KJV).

Jesus Christ spent His entire life on earth teaching us the ways of God. He used His lifestyle to teach us how we should live and treat one another with love, respect, and care. He demonstrated this by loving everyone equally. It is high time we started exhibiting the true and genuine love of Christ towards one another as Christians, which is what the Bible teaches. Unfortunately, this kind of love is scarcely seen in Christendom. Not even the preachers of the gospel can boldly say that they are obeying this very commandment, else they would not see the less privileged and turn their eyes from them. Many have ended in hell because they thought others were inferior to them. Mark 12:30-31 KJV 

EMBRACE THE MIND OF CHRIST: Can you truly answer this question as a Christian: Is your mind pure? The problem many Christians are having is that they have the face of Jesus Christ, but the mind of Satan (hypocrisy is the order of the day). In this generation, so many Christians are hypocrites (their hearts are unbroken). The Word of God has no place in their hearts. They can sing, dance, pray long prayers, or even preach about holiness, but their hearts are as dirty as the grave. I wonder what Christ or rapture they are expecting while in the far country of iniquity. Matthew 22:39 KJV

KNOW WHAT IS RIGHT AND DO IT: Some believers always love to be pushed before doing the right thing. In some believers’ minds, the Holy Spirit only speaks when they are on the receiving end, but they disobey the Holy Spirit when they are told to give out. Heaven is all about love. Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, so much gave to the extent that He gave Himself on the cross to redeem mankind. Some believers know what would gladden the heart of God, yet they will not do it. Some Christians are fond of giving to those who are already rich but would not think of the poor. Repent if you do this so that your heavenly Father could be pleased with you. Proverbs 28:27 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, give me your kind of mind so I could always see people the way you see them, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him” (1 John 2:5 KJV).
