TITLE: YOU NEED WISDOM ONLY WHILE ALIVE

KEY TEXT: “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest” (Ecclesiastes 9:10 KJV).

Oftentimes, I ask myself if some people do think of how close they are to eternity. If everyone knows how close one is to eternity, everyone would live a better life and the fear of God would increase in their lives. Man, in his carnal state, would always forget that he is made of clay, and that life is given to him through the breath from the Almighty God. It means He (God) that gave life into the clay has the power to take life out of the clay. Job 13:12 KJV 

NO WISDOM IN THE GRAVE OR HELLFIRE: Human beings are to fear God and know their limitations about the issues of life. Man should employ wisdom from the idea of sleeping (for everyone goes about his or her daily business when it is day). Everyone keeps himself or herself busy, but the night comes when they sleep and forget all their busy schedule of the day. Man’s wisdom and faculty sleep when he sleeps. John 9:4; 1 Thessalonians 5:7a KJV 

WISDOM IS EFFECTIVE WHILE ALIVE: Beloved in Christ, use your God-given wisdom now that you have the privilege to wisely run from sin. Man, in his wisdom, is able to wish and perform it while on this side of life, and all that ends when he dies. The souls in hellfire are very conscious of pain and freedom; they understand what it means to be free, but it all ends in hopeless wishes. Surrender your life to Jesus Christ now that you still have the breath of life in you. Romans 9:21 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, have mercy on me, in any way I have been using my wisdom busy doing nothing. I receive the grace to live wisely in holiness and true righteousness for the rest of my days on earth, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand” (Isaiah 64:8 KJV).
