TITLE: RE-ADDRESS YOUR ATTITUDE 

KEY TEXT: “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves” (Philippians 2:3 KJV).

Many believers have been praying and fasting, asking God to showcase them. Some are praying for promotion at their workplaces, others want their pastors to see them as hardworking, and some even go the extra mile in seeking help from spiritual forces, burning candles, and eating and drinking all kinds of substances, all in the name of wanting to attain a set goal. However, I will try to pinpoint this message on believers who are trusting God alone for breakthrough and those who want God to promote or introduce them as He did to queen Esther or Daniel in the Bible, but have no regard or respect for people. They are praying, but their lifestyles have nothing to write about. Proverbs 31:30 KJV 

RECHECK YOUR ATTITUDE: There are many people or believers whose prayers, hard work, and commitment would have paved ways for them to be blessed, but their attitudes are a stumbling-block to them. Some believers are hardworking in the Church. They want to see everything go well, but their uncontrollable anger will not allow those who could help them to do so. Some sisters are at the age of getting married; they are so committed to their work in Church and attend all meetings, but their pastors are not bold enough to introduce them to men for marriage. Why? Because of some devastating attitudes they possess (gossiping will not let some sisters gain freedom). Deuteronomy 28:1 KJV 

YOU ARE THE SOLUTION TO YOUR DELAY: Even though Satan is the one fighting so many homes and keeping them in stagnation, a majority of problems are caused by bad attitudes. How can a woman who does not respect her husband, refuses to cook for him, and does whatever she likes without her husband’s consent expect a peaceful home and prevent her husband from looking at other women? Some men do not care if their wives are dying in pain or not. They do not help their wives at home nor do they love or care for them, but expect a peaceful home. It is impossible. We all must check ourselves to know where we are holding ourselves bound, yet thinking household enemies are fighting us. Repentance is highly demanded and prayers for the right attitude if we must get to our glorious, expected end. 1 Peter 3:1-4 KJV

REFLECTION: “He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known” (Proverbs 10:9 KJV).
