TITLE: YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN AUTHORITY OVER SIN

Key Text: “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33 KJV).

Jesus Christ's death on the cross was not only to reconcile man back to God, but He died in shame and resurrected in glory to return man to His rights in creation. Man was created holy with the attribute of God Almighty and was in dominion over all things. God does not struggle over anything and so was man created to be. It was the right of man to have dominion over all of God’s creation, which meant man was supposed to live in peace and enjoy freedom naturally. Unfortunately, it is a pity that the same man is now being ruled and dominated by the things that were once subject to him. 1 John 3:9 KJV 

Your Dominion Includes Dominating the Power of Sin: Many Christians still do not believe they can live a sinless life. They have concluded that pure holiness is unachievable, yet they want to make it in the rapture or enter God's Kingdom after death, knowing that nothing sinful can enter the Kingdom of God. Many believers condemn themselves by fighting the Word of God unknowingly. Jesus Christ told us He has overcome all things, including sin and death, but Christians have refused to engage themselves with the victory given to them over sin. 1 John 4:4 KJV 

Be Free from Eternal Damnation: No one is free from hell unless he or she is free from sin. Freedom from sin is the liberation from the power of hell. Key into the power of the victory of Jesus Christ and live a sinless life. Do not let your pastor seduce you with sweet, damnable words that no one can live without sinning in this world. Souls are still making it into Heaven, even when living in this most sinful generation. You can, too. It is a matter of hating what the world loves, loving what God loves, and standing by your decision to live holy; God will back you up. You must be a convincing and genuine born-again believer to live a domineering life. Hebrews 12:1 KJV 

Prayer: O Lord God, have mercy and forgive me for allowing the things you have given me dominion over to dominate me. I receive the grace to live a life void of sin from now on, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

Reflection: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4 KJV).
