Title: Have You Declared That Jesus Christ Is All That Matters to You?

Key Text: Daniel 3:17-18 KJV - If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

As pilgrims on a journey to Heaven, the choices we make regarding our faith in God and pursuing God's Kingdom determine the efforts put together in securing such decisions to the latter. Anyone who wants to dwell in that city (whose builder and maker is God) must be ready to defend God's name in faith till the end, no matter how fierce the opposition may be. It is written: “...for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 KJV 

Will You Still Defend God's Name, Even at the Point of Death, Following the Decision You Have Made? It came to a point in the lives of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego that they chose to be thrown in a fiery furnace than to worship the image of the king in the land of Babylon. Unfortunately, we are living in a generation in which believers are very weak-minded and cannot stand the wind of persecution for Christ's sake. Believers are ready to curse God and deny His existence in the face of trials than showcase His supremacy and greatness. Daniel 3:17-23 KJV 

The Time to Choose Is Now: The time we are in is a time of making unwavering decisions of either belonging to Jesus Christ and living a holy, sin-free life of rejection, suffering, hardship, acute persecution, loss of rights, and even death in order to reign with the Lord ever after in eternity or to the devil and the world’s system of sin unto condemnation. Apostle Paul declared this in his time: "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21 KJV). What have you decided? What hope should a child of God have in an evil world that is gradually overcoming good? Wake up and decide now. John 3:3 KJV; Hebrews 11:15-16 KJV 

Prayer: O Lord, grant me grace to seek you wholeheartedly and to declare you are all that matters to me, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen. 

Reflection: “Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection” (Hebrews 11:35 KJV).
