Title: THE BLESSEDNESS OF BEING MERCIFUL 

Key Text: Hebrews 8:12 KJV - For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

The key text of today's Divine Inspiration looks so encouraging, reading that God would be merciful to one's unrighteousness (sin and iniquity), and it would be forgotten. I believe everyone would want to experience this kind of favour in the sight of God. It is unfortunate to those who only profess to be in such a state of favour, but they are not working towards it. God is a faithful God who pays everyone according to his or her doings. Matthew 16:27 KJV 

You Must Sow Mercy to Reap Mercy: As I earlier said, God is a God of due payment. There is no unrighteousness in Him. One must have a record of showing mercy to others in order to receive mercy from God. It is written: "For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment” (James 2:13). Beloved in Christ, the Scriptures cannot be broken for anyone. Everyone will reap whatever he or she sows. Galatians 6:7 KJV 

Expect What You Give Out in Return: Beloved in Christ, do you want to be blessed by God? You do not need a special prophet to lay hands on you or go on six-week dry fasting to achieve that. All you need is the mercy of God, and you must also learn to show mercy to others to gain mercy from God. Beloved, be merciful because we all need the mercy of God to enter His Kingdom. For it is written: "Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy." Matthew 5:7 KJV 

Prayer: O Lord God, grant unto me the merciful mind of Jesus Christ, to always show mercy to everyone around me in order for me to always gain mercy from you, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.   

Reflection: "Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful" (Luke 6:36 KJV).
