Title: GOD NEEDS YOU FOR AN INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP

Key Text: Romans 5:8 KJV - But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Man was originally created to have an intimate, Father-child relationship with God; a relationship that brings joy and laughter to the family. God could not have a Father-child relationship with the angels, because they were not created in the image of God as man was. Man is a direct image of God and was created this way because God needed man to have a family bond with. The relationship was smooth between God and man until man sinned. Hebrews 12:14 KJV 

YOU WERE SAVED TO BE RECONNECTED WITH GOD: Most believers do not know why they are born again. Many are not even born again, though they are busy working in the church. Some who are born again are only in a relationship with their daddy and mummy in the Lord, not with Christ. They have no business with Christ who gave them salvation. Jesus Christ has been pushed out of the hearts of many believers, and their hearts are now occupied with the love for their daddy and mummy in the Lord. Many do not care about what the Bible says, as long as their pastors have spoken. Beloved in Christ, note that God saved you to have you all to Himself. Acts 3:19 KJV 

GO BACK TO GOD: God is asking for the whereabouts of many believers, even though they profess to be His children. No one could have an intimate relationship with God while living the life he or she wants. An intimate relationship with God means that God has taken complete control of one’s life. God always wants to be in control when in a union with anyone, but many believers are very far away from God. So, how close are you with God, beloved in Christ? When last did God speak with you as a father to his son or daughter? It will be difficult to enter God's Kingdom if one does not have a relationship with Him now. You must be genuinely born again to have an intimate relationship with God. John 14:6 KJV 

Prayer: O Lord God, have mercy on me for staying far away from you. Please draw me closer and hold me to yourself, as I desire to have an intimate relationship with you as my Father, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen. 

Reflection: "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20 KJV).
