Title: THE STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS NEGLECTED
 
KEY TEXT: Romans 13:11 KJV - And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
 
Looking at the world today, does it seem like what it was years ago? Do the tragic happenings in the world ring a bell to you? The end-time bells and the warnings of Jesus Christ's coming are sounding louder and louder, but does that mean anything to you? Evil days are drawing nearer and nearer, everything is changing fast, and yet you are still not conscious of the times? Matthew 24:2 KJV 
 
Take Heed, the Time Is Now: In Matthew 24, the Lord Jesus foretold the events surrounding the end-time and the need to be conscious when everything starts falling in line with the Scriptures. Unfortunately, humanity's consciousness has been darkened not to understand the times to take heed. Now is the time for believers to completely reconcile with the cross of Christ and genuinely seek repentance; the time to watch in all things, enduring affliction that comes because of the cross, while awaiting the Messiah's return to judge the world, but the reverse is the case. 2 Timothy 3:7 KJV  
 
Living Comfortably in a Dying World: It is so sad that people still find comfort in a world that is fast-decaying and full of dung. Believers who ought to know the times and awake out of sleep are getting busier and drowning deeper into sin and the affairs of this dark, rotten and evil world, forgetting their precious souls. Many are not conscious and have forgotten the words of Jesus Christ to take heed. The end of all things is here. What will be your state when everything comes crashing down or if you miss the rapture? Please take heed now. Repent from your sins and save your soul. Matthew 24:29-32 KJV
 
Prayer: O Lord, my God, please help us, your children, awake from slumber, as you grant us the grace to be conscious of the end-times and take heed, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.
 
Reflection: "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened" (Matthew 24:21-22 KJV).
