Topic: PUT YOUR TRUST IN GOD AND NOT MAN

Key Text: Psalm 91:2 KJV - I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

If there is anything God would not let anyone do to His great name is doubt His Word and authority. God is not a man that He should lie. He means what He says and says what He means. God would never share His glory or praise with anyone. Sadly, many church leaders have taken the Bible from their members’ hands and made their hearts trust in them more than the God who created them. Isaiah 24:8 KJV 

Stop Holding Down Your Blessings: Most believers are on the waiting list to get their blessings from God. Some have been there for a very long time, having no response from heaven. Most of them may have to wait even longer until they learn to trust God and not a man or other things. Some believers think about how they will come to thank or glorify man when their prayers are answered, forgetting that God alone has the power to answer prayers. Proverbs 3:5 KJV 

Stop Trusting in God Partially: Some believers trust in God, but not fully. They would pray to God in the morning and call a native doctor (who pretends to be a prophet) in the afternoon for spiritual support. Some do not call prophets or men for a solution, but at the same time, they do not believe that God can help them; they are not in the world, but they do not trust God’s Word either. Some believers do not believe that God can answer them until one man of God prays for them while acting inappropriately; they do not believe the prayers of the men of God who do not demand for things before praying, nor act dramatically to make their prayers appear more “valuable” to their victims. Repent and start trusting in God and His Word as you completely surrender your life to Jesus Christ. Psalm 37:4 KJV 

Prayer: O Lord, my Father, have mercy on me for having a mind that partially trusts you. I receive the grace to trust you in total obedience and dependence on your Word, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen. 

Reflection: It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes. Psalm 118:8-9 KJV
