Title: STRIVING UNTO PERFECTION

Key Text: 1 Corinthians 3:13 KJV - Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

This is a subject every believer must be serious and careful about. Sometimes, we need to ask ourselves questions regarding our walk with God, to know if we will be able to stand the test of time. Our work as believers is a sensitive one, therefore, it should not be joked with. One day, we will definitely give an account to Jesus Christ regarding our walk with Him. Unfortunately, it's a pity that some Christians are playing games with their salvation and eternity by living in sin without considering the consequences they will face in hellfire. Romans 14:12 KJV 

We must learn to judge ourselves before time (1 Corinthians 11:3). Many believers are living carelessly; some Christians want to see others correcting them of their wrongdoing, when they ought to know the right thing to do. We are in a generation in which believers are so carefree and lazy. Christians who want to make it into heaven, yet living their lives worthy of hellfire. This is a generation of Christians who know the right thing to do, yet refuse to do it; a generation that would rather please a man with their work than to please God. James 4:17 KJV 

In Matthew 5:48, Jesus Christ instructed us to be perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect. Therefore, to prove our test as true believers, our walk with God must be perfect. Your work cannot be perfect when you're not living right with God. Some people are joyfully living in sin under the disguise that nobody is perfect. But I want you to know that everything in heaven is perfect, therefore, in order to survive the test of the righteous judgement of God that would be tried by fire, we must be perfect. Beloved, don't let anyone deceive you into hell; work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Philippians 2:12 KJV

PRAYER: My Father, have mercy and forgive me in any way I have been joking and careless over my work as a Christian. Grant me the grace to make my work perfect for it to survive the judgement of fire, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.
