Topic: THE ETERNAL DISAPPOINTMENT
Key Text: Matthew 7:22-23 KJV - Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? (23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

We have been forewarned by our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, that only a few will be saved in our generation. He foretold the events that would occur before the rapture. In Matthew 24, it talks about nations rising against nations, earthquakes happening in many places, fake prophets, and pastors performing lying signs and wonders to deceive humanity. All these have been happening; however, humanity is not taking heed to the signs happening all over the world. Mark 13:7-8 KJV

We have also been warned in Matthew 7:13-14 that the road leading to eternal life is strait and narrow, but only a few will find it. We are told that only the holy and separated ones will be saved. Even after Jesus Christ paid the hard price for our salvation, He has made humanity understand the evil it is doing to itself by committing sin and how souls are continuously ending up in hellfire like rainfall. Worldly lusts won't allow humanity to learn its lessons. Romans 15:4 KJV

The bell of the second coming of Jesus Christ is ringing, and people are not taking heed. Sin is on the increase and believers who are supposed to be better prepared are carelessly going deeper and deeper into sin. Jesus Christ is coming back for the ready ones. Where are the ready ones? Many believers think they are ready, but their souls are crying for freedom from worldliness and deliverance from chronic sin. 1 John 2:15-16 KJV 

Prayer: Father, please give me listening ears to hear your Word; make me a doer, so that I won’t be caught unawares at your coming, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

Reflection: And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. Revelation 20:11 KJV
