Topic: Stop Seeking Self-glory
Key Text: John 5:30 KJV - I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. 

Jesus Christ as a Master to all His children has set an example for everyone who actually wants to do His will to follow. Jesus Christ being God, humbled Himself and came to earth as a Son of God, and was in subjection to God the Father in all things. He never sought His own glory, but the glory of God who sent Him. He said: "I do not my own will, I do what I see my Father doing and say what I hear my Father saying that the Father may be glorified in the son." John 12:49 KJV 

How Many Men And Women Of God Does What They See Jesus Christ Doing Today? Jesus expects all His labourers to take instructions and directives from Him before doing anything; but a majority of today's ministers are ministers of themselves, who take instructions from themselves and seek glory to themselves, forgetting Jesus Christ who paid dearly with His own blood to establish the church by redemption. Isaiah 42:8 KJV 

What Will Be Your Confession At Last? Jesus Christ said in John 4:34 that His meat was to do the work of Him that sent Him and to finish the work; and he confessed it to the Father in John 19:30 that it was finished. Paul, the apostle, also confessed that he had fought a good fight and finished his work. Hmmm, will yours and mine be different when our time is up? We must think about this, repent, and amend our ways where necessary. 1 Timothy 6:12 KJV 

Prayer: O Lord my God, please have mercy on me and forgive me in any way I have been working for myself, and taking the glory that is due to your name. I repent of my sins and surrender to your will from henceforth, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen. 

Reflection: For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's. Philippians 2:21 KJV
