Topic: Hiding under The New Testament Bible
Key Text: Matthew 5:27-28 KJV - Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:(28) But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

It is amazing to see people, believers especially, talking about the New Testament as a medium where sin could be committed without any consequences attached. Many believers see the Old Testament as a brutal law book and the New Testament as a sinner's hiding place. What a great mistake believers are making by thinking this way! Proverbs 4:23 KJV 

Do You Know the New Testament? Believers who see the New Testament as the sinners' hiding place are making a fool of their own souls. The same God who gave Moses the law in the Old Testament came in human form to fulfil and reload it with real deeper holiness to the church. It would only take those in the spirit to understand the depth of the New Testament. In fact, the New Testament came to reveal the narrowness of the road to heaven. Matthew 7:13-14 KJV 

Newness in the New Testament: The New Testament reveals the nature of the Holy God. It's written that looking at a woman lustfully is a sin, whereas in the Old Testament until the act is committed. The Old Testament only condemns those who commit murder, but the New Testament condemns those who are angry without a cause. The issue of divorce and remarry with a certificate was allowed in the Old Testament while thinking of divorce can send someone to hell in the New Testament. One should never take the New Testament for granted, else he or she will be grounded in hellfire. Matthew 5:32 KJV 

Prayer: O Lord God, please have mercy on me in any way I have been seeing the New Testament as a sinner's hiding place. Grant me the spiritual understanding of your Word, so that I will not be a victim of your wrath, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen. 

Reflection: Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. (18) For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Matthew 5:17-18 KJV
