Topic: Why You Should Hold On To The Gospel Truth
Key Text: 2 Timothy 3:16 KJV - All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

When You Find The Truth Don't Lose It: Despite the fact that some Christians know the truth, they refuse to defend or stand firm by it. Some because of the fear of man or the reward they will get from a man. Think of it beloved, what profit will you get if you know the truth and can't stand to defend it? Some people will tell me that they know that I am saying the truth, but you would find the same people, doing the opposite of what they confessed to be true. It is written, "For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us forever." Truth is meant to stay undefiled with he or she that finds it. 2 John 1:2 KJV 

Truth Is A Guide To Them Who Have It: Let the truth dwell in you and live with you at all times. Can you remember how long it took you to come across the absolute truth of the Word of God? I am referring to the undiluted truth of the Living God. Many believers have wasted their hard-earned money, time, and energy on lies and false hope, believing in false men and women of God before finally meeting the truth. Such believers must do all it takes to hold on to it, and not sell it for any reason. 2 Peter 2:20-22  KJV 

The Truth Can Be Sold: Many who once knew the way of the cross have gone back to the wide road. The way of the cross was too difficult for them to go through; hence, they decided to sell the truth (their salvation in holiness and righteousness). They gave up their costly salvation because of the pleasures of the flesh. Note that the currency for selling the truth is SIN. Runaway from sin and it shall be well with you, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen. If you know that you are far from the truth, or living with partial truth, try your best to go an extra mile in search of the truth. Jesus Christ is the truth; embrace Him with all your mind and He will reveal the deeper Christianity to you. John 14:6 KJV 

Prayer: I receive the grace to hold on to the gospel of truth and to live the life God has given me in holiness and true righteousness; no matter the pain, as long as I see my Maker in glory at the end; in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen. 

Reflection: For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 KJV
