Topic: Honesty Before God And Man
Key Text: 1 Peter 2:12 KJV - Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

No matter how one professes to be holy or righteous in the eyes of people, one thing is certain. No one can deceive God or himself or herself; no one can lie to himself or herself without knowing he or she is lying in his or her heart, even if one is a chronic liar or deceiver. So therefore, the life of honesty starts from the inside. Holiness and righteousness without honesty is hypocrisy. Now, how honest are you in your work with God and your fellow man? Is your mind giving good reports about you being an honest person? If not, ask God for the grace to be an honest person. 2 Corinthians 8:21 KJV

A World At War With Honesty: It's a pity that the Christians are changing in consonance with the world. The word honesty is quickly losing its strength in the world today, even in most churches. The deceptive spirit of the devil has entered into most of the children of God. And as long as humanity is rejecting the saving grace of Jesus Christ, nothing good or honest can ever come out of this world. The world will always be at war with the truth, since the Man of truth is rejected. Ezekiel 22:13 KJV 

You Can Make A Difference: As I said earlier, one's conscience is the register that takes inventory of everything one does before God and man; that's why God's judgment is very easy. Everyone's conscience will bring out all that was done in the body before the judgment seat. No wonder Apostle Paul said, "And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men" (Acts 24:16). Beloved one in Christ, the world or people around you might hate you or see you as a foolish person, but don't stop being honest or truthful. It's painful now but gainful at last. Romans 13:13 KJV 

Prayer: O Lord, grant me the grace to live an honest life with a conscience void of offence before you and man all the days of my life, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

Reflection: Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. Romans 12:17 KJV
