Topic: THE FALSEHOOD LOVE FOR GOD 
Key Text: Deuteronomy 6:5 KJV - And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Many believers would boldly say that they love God and they have their strong reasons to back up their claims. Some would say because they sing in the church, some because they are ushers, others may say because they are very close to the man or woman of God, while some would claim because they are always in the church on Sundays. Are all these reasons justifiable? Does Jesus count all these as love for Him? Couldn't the armed robber and satanic agents do all these too? Matthew 7:21-23 KJV 

Many actually love their worldly church doctrine, pastor, singing, and dancing, with colorful light in the disco hall that they call a church auditorium; however, the love and sufferings of Christ and obedience to the word of God has no place in their hearts. They drink alcohol, smoke, fornicate, have more than one wife, divorce, and remarry, tattoo themselves, put on artificial hair, makeup themselves and all kinds of abominations are found in the love they profess for Christ without fear. John 14:15 KJV 

The love of God must go with the corresponding fear of God in the life of anyone that professes to be born again and love God. Beloved in Christ, examine yourself again. Do you still sin without fear? Do you rejoice over messages that encourage you in sin and get angry with messages that could save your soul? You are far from being born again. You need to run to the Cross before it's too late. You need the genuine love for Christ that makes one run from sin and search for the painful but gainful messages; not bread and butter messages of doom. Job 28:28 KJV 

Prayer: O Lord my God, have mercy on me in any way I have professed loving you in disobedience and rebellious to your commands. I receive the grace to love you genuinely in total obedience; in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.

Reflection: If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, [and] prepared unto every good work. 2 Timothy 2:21 KJV
