Topic: THERE IS JOY AFTER SUFFERING 
Key Text: Romans 8:18 KJV - For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time [are] not worthy [to be compared] with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

This new generation is a generation where the pastors preach and teach their congregations about earthly comfort, and making them to forget about eternity; unlike the old apostles who were more concerned about the joy that awaits them after the painful life they had to live here on earth. They understood that they were never part of this world; hence, the riches of this world meant nothing to them but the cross of Christ. Philippians 1:29 KJV 

Any believer who wants to be glorified with the glory that shall be revealed by our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, upon those that lived for him on the last day, would do everything possible not to be entangled with the riches of this world that will soon pass away. Anyone who is part of this world should not expect himself or herself to be part of the glory awaiting those who carried the painful cross of Christ. 1 Peter 4:1 KJV 

Our Lord Jesus Christ has told us categorically that he would deny anyone who denied him and accept in glory anyone who accepted His cross of suffering. It is written "we shall reign with him if we suffer with him". There are lots to gain if we would patiently endure the loss of this world because ours is categorised with suffering for the cross of salvation. Those of us who have decided to carry it must pray for the spirit of endurance and patience. 2 Timothy 2:12 KJV 

Prayer: O Lord my God, grant unto me and my brethren all over the world who have decided to carry the cross and follow you, the enduring grace to live a holy life till the end; in Jesus Christ mighty name; amen. 

Reflection: For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. 2 Corinthians 4:17 KJV
