Topic: UNGODLY FEAR PROHIBITED 
Key Text: Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV - Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this [is] the whole [duty] of man.

Fear is so powerful, that it could make one do what he or she would never have thought of doing. Fear could make one submit his or her birthright. Many have given out their hard earned money at gunpoint for the sake of fear of death. Some men have given out their wives to be molested just to save their lives. In addition, Abraham and Isaac gave their wives to preserve their lives. Genesis 12: 10-16 KJV 

Fear could be positive (godly fear) and negative (ungodly fear). Godly fear is hardly seen today. The fear of man has taken over the fear of God in the hearts of men. People are now more afraid of what ordinary man could do to them. Some believers fear their pastor's worthless threat; but are bold to disobey God's commands. The fear of God has no meaning to humanity anymore. James 4:12 KJV 

People tell lies to avoid judgment and to avoid being punished for wrong doing. It baffles me to see how the German citizens fear the law of the government. The police has become a small god to most of them. Humanity is concerned about their flesh. The fear of man leads to eternal damnation. The only One we should fear is God who has the power to kill and to make alive. Proverbs 8:13 KJV 

Prayer: O Lord my God, I refuse to fear man any longer; I have decided to fear you alone; help me to do your will in holiness and true righteousness; in Jesus Christ mighty name; amen. 

Reflection: Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.  Philippians 2:12 KJV
