Topic: Seek Not Your Own Glory
Key Text: John 5:30  I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. 

Jesus as a Master to all his children has set an example for everyone who actually wants to do his will which they must follow. Jesus Christ is God but He humbled Himself and came as a son of God and was in subjection to God the Father in all things. He never sought his own glory; but, the glory of Him that sent him. He said, I do not my own will, I do what I see my Father doing and say what I hear my Father saying that the Father may be glorified in the son. John 12:49 KJV 

How Many Men And Women Of God Do What They See Jesus Christ Doing Today? Jesus expect all his labourers to take instructions and directives from Him before doing anything; but, majority of today's ministers, are ministers of themselves who take instructions from themselves and seek  glory to themselves; forgetting Jesus Christ that paid dearly with his own Blood to establish the church through redemption. Isaiah 42:8 KJV 

What Would Be Your Confession At Last? Jesus Christ said in John 4:34 that his meat is to do the work of him that sent him and to finish the work; and he confessed it to the Father in John 19:30 that it is finished. Paul the Apostle confessed that he also finished his work and fought the good fight. Hmmm, would yours and mine be different when our time is up? We must think about this, repent, and amend our ways where necessary. 1 Timothy 6:12 KJV 

Prayer: O Lord my God, please have mercy on me and forgive me in anyway I have been working for myself and taking the glory due to you alone; I repent of my sins; I surrender to your will from henceforth; in Jesus Christ mighty name; amen. 

Reflection: For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's. Philippians 2:21 KJV
