Topic: The Spirit Of Esau At Work! 

Key Text: Hebrews 12:16 KJV - Lest there be any
fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

We are living in a time when people want to eat their cake and have it. An era where people want to serve and work for satan and at the same time enter into the kingdom of God. A generation of humanity that sold their Salvation and want to hold unto the blessings of God; forgetting that Salvation and the blessings of God go together. When one is missing, the other would follow suit. Many children of God are not ready to serve God or obey Him; yet, are ready to enjoy God's blessings. Matthew 6:33 KJV 

Don't Mismanage Your Birthright: The birthright of every child of God, is to inherit the Kingdom of God. Just as Esau sold his birthright for one morsel of meat; so many children of God have sold their birthrights to the devil. Anytime one commits sin, he or she is indirectly giving up his or her inheritance. What do you think satan was aiming at when he tempted Jesus Christ during his 40 Days and 40 Nights Fasting and Praying? He was aiming at destroying Jesus Christ's birthright of being the Saviour of mankind. Matthew 4: 1-11 KJV 

Don't Give Your Right To Sin And Iniquity: Just as Esau who thought he could come back for his birthright after eating the pottage; so are many children of God thinking today. Many want to enjoy the pleasure of iniquity, since they are still young; then, come to God in their old age; as if they own their lives. Learn from Esau; For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. Tomorrow may be too late for you.   Hebrews 12:17 KJV 

Prayer: Heavenly Father, have mercy on me and forgive me; in anyway I have sold my birthright unknowingly. Please Lord, restore me back to yourself in Jesus mighty name; amen.

Reflection: And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? Genesis 25:32 KJV
